Everyone!
I had the coolest experience this week:
We were driving to stop by one of our investigators when I saw this girl that looked exactly like a girl from my first area! So we turned around and went to talk to her. It was definitely Breanna. We taught her family in Stroudsburg. I never saw them get to church but I really grew to love them. So she is in Pennsburg now living with her Sister and her sister's husband. She baby sits everyday and does online school so she never gets out. We were able to stop by and teach her a lesson later in the week and it was so cool. She has had to deal with a lot of stuff and she is only 16! We are meeting with her this Wednesday and I am so excited!
Another Miracle!
We were contacting some referrals and had a little extra time before our dinner appointment. I saw this door and thought we should knock on it. So, of course, we did! We figured no one was home when a lady popped her head around the corner and said 'what do you want!?". haha that's how they usually respond. She said her mom lives on the door we were knocking and that she is out of the state for a while. I asked where and she said PORTLAND, OREGON! WAHOO! Of course there was an instant connection and this lady was hilarious. She said that she saw knew who we were. She had been at Dairy Queen 2 months ago when we were there. She remembered so clearly. We told her more of what we do and she told us her experiences on why she doesn't go to church anymore. I had a prompting from the spirit to write my testimony in a Book of Mormon and mark some scriptures. I knew I was supposed to give it to her. She turned out to be sick and was supposed to be in bed but she stayed outside for a while talking to us. I invited her to read it and she was so open to. It was awesome! We can't go back for another 2 weeks because she really is sick but I can hardly wait to see Elizabeth again. She also scared my companion to death with some story about Spook ln. and how the KKK lives in Berks county and gets crazy on Halloween. I was kind of hilarious. Her face was totally white.
Our investigator Barry is progressing well too! He came to church this Sunday and we got him to stay for the 2nd hour too! It was perfect because he was having some trouble understanding the Holy Ghost and that's what the lesson was on.
I love serving in the Milford Branch!! This place I never want to leave. I've heard that phrase a lot "The only thing constant on your mission is change". When i first came out I loved change! Now that I have been out a while it doesn't sound as appealing. I have really grown to love the investigators, members, and the beauty here. I can't stand the thought of leaving. I do not want to miss a thing that happens in this place. Nevertheless, I know that Lord has a plan. I guess I'm just getting nervous because transfers are in 2 weeks. AH! Where did time go?
I studied prayer a lot this week and I have come to know that these words to be true " Should you ever feel distanced from our Father, it could be for many reasons. Whatever the cause, as you continue to plead for help, He will guide you to do that which will restore your confidence that He is near."
I love you all so much and know that Heavenly Father does too,
Love,
Sister Zeller
